I have been using iThoughts for a few years now. It has improved regularly; support is prompt and efficient. The transition between laptop (windows7) and iPadAir is smooth and painless. What more can one ask for? Just keep up the great work please!

Very well thought out mind mapping application. For those that want to really get a lot out of it, be sure to download the advanced tips map.

Amazing how easy this is to use on iPad, then export to Keynote or other formats. It syncs well. It does what a mind map should do, but then it surprises by going further and doing more -- and doing it well.

iThoughts makes quick brainstorming easy then enables deep reflection to fill out your ideas. And when youre ready to go onto the next phase of polishing a piece, its markdown export is excellent (especially with Marked 2 on macOS). Moreover, the maps are beautiful and theres a surprising amount of advanced features and shortcuts, though you by no means need to learn them right away. More than worth the price; a truly pro app on the iPad.

Like so much of IOS software it works well in isolation. My needs include compatibility with the Windows world. Specifically, Freeplan (.mm) compatibility does not include attributes(calculations and data), images or node details. Attachments are static unless you use web links which makes it unusable in airplane mode. Not that any other IOS mind mappers include such compatibility either. Just reinforces the impression that IOS is for play, Windows is for serious tasks.

Project Planning, to dos, true mind mapping, org charts, capturing notes (easy with collapsing )...etc I have used every MINDMAP software, this one is so versatile for traditional mind mapping, task management (awesome), I love the task related features (setting time lines on a node, assigning resources, syncing with reminders in iOS, creating list and checking them off with gestures. The developer has done an amazing job, performance for massive mind maps is superior to desktop equivalent software. Love the syncing between drop box and my iPhone 6plus and IPad Air . I highly recommend you try this first.

This, among all the other mind-mapping products I’ve tried over the years, is for me the best one. It offers a complete integration between the iOS and OS X platforms, updated to the latest iOS8 and OS X Yosemite, and it’s really a pleasure to use. Those who already know the concepts behind Mind Mapping software will be able to check the current features on the developers’ blog - among the many, support for page-splitting during printing of very large maps, external display support for presentations, and the recent introduction of Focus mode, which is a dream come true for those, like us, who would do everything to work in a distraction-free environment. So, take a look for yourselves, and don’t hesitate !

Incredibly well made and robust mind map app!

I tried more or less all mind mapping software or iOS in the App Store. iThoughts provides by far the best balance between powerful features and ease of use. Highly recommended.

Good app for mind mapping, a bit stiff to use, lack the ease of drawing on paper, but does the job. For me the great lacking feature is iCloud. The existing system of synchronisation is a pain, and for a tool that is meant to help to get my thoughts clearer, the cloud system is a real pain to use!!! When will iCloud come to this app, PLEASE!?

I started with iThoughts on iOS on my iPad and the software was really nice with a simple interface. And the arrival on iThoughtsX on Mac was really a good surprise and a real improvement in my workflow. Indeed, the synchronization features cross platform is very good. The stuff I like on iOS is to navigate into the MindMap I produced on the Mac and to produce some small improvements or do some writing. And surprisingly, the doodle features is very simple and very good in my opinion. As a conclusion, it is great App supported by continuous improvement from the developper. Better, it is a trusted App that you can invest in and be sure that the small flaws you see today will be solved in the future. And in addition, new stuff you have not dreamt of or maybe you did, will be there tomorrow as well. You can even ask Craig Scott, the developper. Cant wait to be able to use it on the future iPad Pro. Purchase it!

I dont want to update my IOS version..!

Just buy it. It is perfect!

to make the app compatible with IOS9 is OK. To forget the IOS8 users --> 0 stars. Each time a new IOS is coming, a bunch of apps are killed. That is why I dont update.

Very Good ergonomy, looks nice, syncs perfectly with icloud and dropbox, even has drawing capabilities !

Some improvements but now is difficult to adjust each topic manually, specially the size. They took of the little hand at the bottom of topic and add a little square which is so hard to tap right on it to adjust, taking more time to create the maps The "paste style" function is also not available. Bad choice Overall, I prefer the past version

The best app to make maps.

Great tool, have it on iOS ans OSX and works/syncs (via Dropbox) like a charm. If you are looking for mindmaps, dont look any further.
